Race: Mushroom
Class: Sorcerer
Age: 66
Look: A talking mushroom (ghost mushroom).

I grew up in a secluded community of Fungril in a forest we called The Moon Forest. As a community we were very connected in a deep level. My main work as part of the community was a Tree keeper. During my early years i lacked the skills and knowledge to manipulate the powers of magic. I lived a simple life.
When i was around 30 years old a weird eclipse happened. The eclipse was not forseen as most of the eclipses are. During the eclipse most of my village went in the great hall in order to perform the usual ritual we performed during moon eclipses. My exposure to the weird light produced from the eclipse caused me to manifest primal raw energies.
After the event i spent 1 year under the guidance of the Great Mikit Magus, trying to master my newly acquired powers. Unfortunately, he was not able to help me, and after an event which caused the destruction of one great tree, we as a community decided that it was better i was exiled. As a gift and guidance i received from my community a “Whispering Orb” to give me guidance and keep me company and 3 Moon stones - pieces of the moon as my culture believes - which provide their carrier with good luck and protection from primal evil and “darkness”.
The next 20 years i spent walking around the world, without purpose without destination and with no home to return to. My attempts to master my magic were not going that well, and all the teachings of the Great Magus seemed to be failing. That was when i heard about the Arcane Academy.
I was accepted in the academy quite easily as a person with great potential. Unfortunately my ability to learn and study magic was terrible. I was repeating classes quite often and when i was passing it was merely because i got help styding. All changed when a Fairy teacher arrived. Professor Milinith had powers similar to mine. She was a sorcerer as she explained. Through her guidance i was able to elevate my power and learn how to control them and when to unleash them.
When the great destruction happened in Drakkenheim, we were all devastated and curious of the effects. A bit later (WE NEED TO DECIDE) when the academy decided to Mass Study the effect and started sending research parties i was always trying to get accepted but the didn’t consider my studies finished, so i was never given permission.
My motivations for visiting the city were not only for
research.
Firstly and most importantly my Aunt Poppy-Lily, a great and wise
Fungril was living in Drakkenheim. She was a Fungril of great importance
as she was one of the few that left the community in her own volition,
in order to study and become wise. During my 20 years of wonder i had
visited her a few times. From her studies i remember that she was
interested in the origin of some of the races of the planet.
Specifically the exotic races such as our own. I will always cherish my
time with her. Showing me the high towers, exploring the sky with her
huge telescope and learning about various stuff.
The second motivation for my will to explore the city was the reports of
mutations. The eclipse 35 years ago caused me to mutate and find raw
magic power. My vision was augmented by mutations, allowing me to see
magic (mini mushroom in my head.). During my times at the academy,
whenever i was able to “solve” a spell, was because my body was
mutating, producing a new mushroom in my head. What if my event is
somewhow connected to the event that happened in Drakkenheim? What if my
mutation is not a gift from the Moon but an effect caused by something
else. I believe studying the city will help me understand my powers and
maybe help me control them more.
Aunty Poppy Lilly was living in Drakkenheim. Haven’t seen her for 20 years.
My mutations might become uncontrollable again

Virgil: I fed him my last food. Fun to be around. Gave him a precious artifact (moonstone) which he treasures. Also, I’m a talking mushroom.
