Find Ansom

Petra Lang, a lieutenant of the Hooded Lanterns, approached the party in Emberwood Village and begged for their help. Her brother, Ansom, had been abducted by rattlings and she does not know where he was taken or if he is still alive. The party agreed to look for him. (Session 1)

Trouble at Rats Nest Tavern and Eckerman Mill

River, a representative from the Amethyst Academy, is looking for investigators to deal with trouble at the Rats Nest Tavern and Eckerman Mill. The details of the trouble remain unclear, but the party intends to investigate both locations. (Session 1)

Retrieve the Holy Symbol

Nathaniel Flynt, a priest of the Falling Fire cult, asked the party to retrieve a holy symbol from the Chapel of Saint Brenna, deep within the ruins of Drakkenheim. The party accepted the task, though trust between them and the cult remains thin. (Session 2)

Virgil — The Key and His Origin

Virgil’s mother, a giant, sent him to Drakkenheim with a mysterious key and the promise that he would find answers about his origin there. The key is said to unlock something hidden in the cursed city. He has worked with the Hooded Lanterns for a few years, waiting for his chance to enter the ruins.

Mike — Aunt Poppy-Lily and the Eclipse

Mike’s Aunt Poppy-Lily, a great Fungril wise woman, was living somewhere in Drakkenheim. He has not seen her in twenty years, though his signal tells him she is not dead — he simply cannot reach her. He also believes the strange eclipse that mutated him at age thirty may be connected to the same catastrophe that destroyed the city.

Marcos — The Pendant and the Hunter

Marcos carries a strange pendant he found half-buried in his homeland. Its origin and purpose are unknown. He is also being hunted by someone from the refugee group he once drove off by taking the form of a massive spider — a decision that broke the balance he had sworn to protect.

Faradrim — The Assassin and the Forest

Faradrim’s brother Morabath sent an assassin to eliminate a final noble nearly thirty years ago. The assassin never returned to their base and is believed to still be hidden somewhere in Drakkenheim. The corruption spreading from the ruined city is also creeping toward the elven High Forest, and Faradrim must investigate before it is too late.

Completed Quests

Caravan Guard Duty

The party was hired by Eren Marlow, a merchant in Alberk, to guard a caravan bound for Emberwood Village. The three-week journey was largely uneventful apart from the bandit attack on the first night. They delivered the caravan safely. (Session 0–1)

Defeat the Bandit Ambush

On the first night of the caravan journey, bandits attacked the camp. The party killed the spellcaster and the bandit leader, and the remaining bandits fled. Marcos and Mia pursued and killed one more. Mia sustained a serious injury that was later healed. (Session 0)

Defeat Vos

One day outside Emberwood, the caravan encountered three survivors of a Drakkenheim expedition: Ludwig von Graff, Edra, and Vos. That night, Vos transformed into a horrific monster — a mutation caused by the haze around Drakkenheim — and killed Ludwig instantly. The party defeated Vos and saved Edra, whose fate remains unknown. (Session 0)

Defeat the Shambling Mound

While traveling toward Eckerman Mill, the party came across a ruined village near the river. Mia spotted a glinting necklace in the water. It was a lure — a shambling mound erupted from the river and attacked. The party fought together and brought the creature down, leaving the necklace at the bottom of the river. (Session 2)
